South Austin covers a lot of ground, from the 78704 streets around Zilker, Bouldin Creek, and Travis Heights to the busy corridors of South Congress and South Lamar. The housing is a mix of older bungalows, remodels, and newer builds that replaced them, and that mix is why tv mounting south austin jobs rarely look alike. We have done plenty of work nearby, including this 65-inch Samsung install with cord concealment in Bouldin Creek and this TV and soundbar install in South Lamar. So when a South Austin homeowner called about three TVs in one visit, one on a covered patio and two inside, we planned the day around three very different rooms.

Here is what went up. First, a 65″ LG TV on an outside patio, installed on a ceiling mount. Second, a 65″ Samsung Frame TV on a wall, with in-wall cord concealment and wire consolidation. Third, a 65″ Sony OLED TV on a tilt bracket, also with in-wall cord concealment. All three were TVs the customer already owned, so these were installations and not sales. The Frame was an earlier-generation model, from before 2026, and it has its own concealment option on our menu. Finished install: three 65″ TVs, one outdoors and two indoors, each mounted and wired in a single appointment. All three fall in our 61″ to 74″ size range, so the base installation was the same for each TV, and the differences came from the mount, the location, and the concealment. That is how we build every quote: size first, then mount type, then cord concealment, then anything the wall or room requires.
The patio TV is the one people ask about most. The photo above shows it on the covered patio. An outdoor spot comes with a few things you do not deal with indoors: direct sun at certain hours, glare off the screen, and a screen exposed to heat and humidity, so where the TV hangs relative to the seating and the sun matters.
The two indoor installs show how different the same screen size can look. The Frame is built to look like a framed piece of art when it is not in use, so the goal is a mount that sits close to the wall and cabling that disappears completely. The Sony OLED is a pure TV, and it went on a tilt bracket, which lets the screen angle down slightly when it hangs above eye level. In the photo below, the Sony sits above a dresser with a clean wall around it.

If you are choosing between those two types of TV, here is the plain comparison. A Frame is for the room where the TV is also decor, and its matte screen is made to look like a print. An OLED is for the room where picture quality comes first, with deep blacks and strong contrast, and it is a good fit for a darker room. Both look best when the wall behind them is clean, which is why concealment matters on either one. We can advise on which suits your room when we quote the job.
Cord concealment is the common thread here. Standard TV power cords are not rated to run inside a wall, which is why we use kits made for the job and keep the connections in proper receptacles. When the wall is a different material, such as brick, stone, or tile, the work takes extra care, skill, and professionalism, and we plan for it ahead of time.
