Here is a recent full motion soundbar mount Anderson Mill job by Bat City TV. Anderson Mill is an established family neighborhood in Northwest Austin between FM 620 and Anderson Mill Road, with many homes that have been customized over the years, including built-in cabinetry and finished media rooms. An Anderson Mill homeowner contacted Bat City TV about mounting a 55″ Roku TV to a custom-built cabinet, with a soundbar that needed to swivel and tilt along with the TV.

The setup was a 55″ Roku TV mounted on a full-motion articulating arm, attached to a custom-built cabinet, and the soundbar was the main challenge. The homeowner wanted the soundbar connected to the TV mount, so that when the TV swivels out from the cabinet or tilts down for viewing from the couch, the soundbar moves with it as one piece. We used a full-motion mount suited to the combined weight of the TV and the soundbar, and a soundbar bracket attached to the articulating arm below the TV. When the TV is pulled out from the cabinet and swiveled toward the kitchen, the soundbar follows and stays aligned underneath.

Mounting a soundbar to a full-motion arm takes planning. The soundbar adds weight to an arm that is already extended away from the wall, so the bracket placement and weight distribution matter for the arm to hold its position. On a custom cabinet install, we also have to choose the attachment points carefully, since it is someone’s furniture. We plan the mount, the bracket, and the attachment points together so the finished setup is clean and works the way the homeowner wanted.
