Here is a recent Sonos Beam installation Mueller Austin job by Bat City TV. Mueller is a master-planned community built on the former Robert Mueller Municipal Airport site in East Austin, with newer energy-efficient homes and mixed-use streets. A Mueller homeowner contacted Bat City TV about installing a 55″ TV with a Sonos Beam soundbar, and asked specifically about hiding the cables in the wall.

The homeowner was upgrading their living room and wanted one company to handle it. Bat City TV supplied the Sonos Beam and brought it to the install, mounted the 55″ TV on a slim low-profile mount, and installed the Beam on the wall below the TV, spaced and leveled. We then did the in-wall wire concealment the homeowner asked for. We routed the TV’s HDMI and power cables through the wall to a recessed power outlet behind the TV, and ran the Sonos Beam’s power cable through the wall to a relocated outlet behind the soundbar. With everything powered on and tested, no cables were visible on the wall.

In-wall wire concealment is what makes an install look finished. A power cable hanging down the wall is the first thing the eye lands on when you walk into a room, and a soundbar with a cable dangling from it takes away from the look of the setup. Doing it right means cutting clean access holes, routing cables through the wall while avoiding electrical runs and other obstructions, and using a recessed power kit for the outlet.
