Here is a recent Samsung Frame TV Pro Northwest Hills Austin job by Bat City TV. Northwest Hills is an established Austin neighborhood of mid-century and contemporary homes on wooded, hilly lots west of MoPac, where formal living rooms with stone and tile fireplaces are common. A Northwest Hills homeowner contacted Bat City TV about installing a 65″ Samsung Frame TV Pro over their tile fireplace, and they wanted it to look clean and fit the room, blending in when the TV was off.

The Frame TV Pro is Samsung’s art-display television. The fireplace surround was a polished porcelain tile with a slightly textured finish. We drilled the tile carefully, pre-marked the anchor points, and used hardware suited to the surround. The included Slim Fit Wall Mount was set flush, and the One Connect cable was routed to a recessed power outlet relocation below the mantle. With a piece of the homeowner’s art loaded into Art Mode, the TV looked like a framed painting hanging over the fireplace.

Mounting a TV over a tile fireplace takes care. Drilling in the wrong spot can crack a tile, which can be costly and slow to replace. The goal on a job like this is no visible cables, no cracked tiles, and a level TV that blends into the wall. We mount TVs over fireplaces across Austin, and the Frame TV Pro over tile is one we enjoy.
