Rollingwood is one of Austin’s best-kept secrets — a small, incorporated city of just a few hundred homes tucked between West Lake Hills and South Lamar, minutes from downtown but completely its own world. The homes here range from mid-century ranches to fully renovated contemporaries, and the residents tend to care deeply about how their spaces look and feel. It’s a neighborhood where the details matter, where a TV on the wall should enhance the room rather than dominate it. Samsung’s The Frame TV was essentially designed for this kind of home and this kind of homeowner. We headed out to Rollingwood this month for a Frame TV installation done the way it’s meant to be done.
The customer had a 65″ Samsung Frame TV going up in the main living area — a deliberate choice for a room where aesthetics are as important as performance. The Frame is Samsung’s art-display television: a matte QLED panel in a customizable frame that displays curated artwork when not in use and disappears into the wall when it is. At 65″ it fills a wall beautifully without overwhelming a room, and the No-Gap mount places it completely flush against the surface — no bracket showing, no gap between the TV and the wall, just a large frame hanging exactly the way a piece of art would. The customer wanted it done properly, with full in-wall cable concealment to match.
In-wall concealment on a Frame TV installation involves running power and the One Connect cable through the wall — no visible cables at all, not even a cord cover. This requires cutting access points in the drywall, routing the cables through the wall cavity, and patching and finishing the wall so there’s no evidence anything was done. The result is a TV that appears to float on the wall with zero visible infrastructure. We used Samsung’s proprietary No-Gap wall mount, confirmed stud placement and clearance for the cable run, completed the in-wall work, and finished the install with the TV in Art Mode — ready to display from the moment we left.
