Here is a recent TV mounting Bull Creek Austin job by Bat City TV. Bull Creek is a network of winding roads and large custom homes on wooded hills west of MoPac and north of 2222, with many large living rooms. A Bull Creek homeowner contacted Bat City TV about wall mounting a 75″ TV with in-wall power relocation, so the wall would be clean, with just the TV on it.

The setup was a 75″ TV on a low-profile fixed mount, with an in-wall power relocation kit to bring an outlet directly behind the TV and route the HDMI and signal cables through the wall to the source location below. We located the existing outlet, cut an access hole for a recessed in-wall power kit positioned behind where the TV would sit, and ran the TV’s HDMI and signal cables through low-voltage pass-through plates, so the cables connecting to the TV disappear into the wall and reappear at the source location. Mounted, powered on, and tested, the wall had no power strips and no cable cover.

Power relocation is what hides the TV’s power cord. Without it, a black power cord usually runs down the wall, because a clean result takes more than cable management. A power relocation kit moves the outlet behind the TV and provides a separate pass-through for low-voltage signal cables.
