Mueller is one of Austin’s most distinctive newer neighborhoods — the master-planned community built on the site of the old Mueller Airport in East-Central Austin, where modern infill homes, sustainable architecture, and a strong sense of design have made it one of the most thoughtful places to live in the city. The homeowners here tend to be design-conscious, technically informed, and willing to pay for quality where it matters — exactly the kind of buyer who picks an LG OLED over a standard QLED because they actually care about picture quality. So when a Mueller homeowner reached out about installing a 75″ LG OLED with all the cables hidden inside the wall, we knew this was an install where the homeowner would notice every detail of the finished work.
The setup was a 75″ LG OLED mounted on a low-profile fixed wall mount with full in-wall cable concealment — every cable hidden inside the drywall so the finished wall reads completely clean. We located the studs, anchored the mount into multiple studs (a 75″ OLED is lighter than most LCD TVs of the same size, but it still demands proper multi-stud anchoring), and hung the TV with precise alignment. A UL-listed in-wall power transfer kit brought a code-compliant outlet directly behind the TV, and the HDMI and signal cables were routed through the wall via low-voltage pass-through plates down to the equipment location below. Finished wall: only the OLED, no visible cables, no power cord trailing down. The kind of clean install where the picture quality of the LG OLED is what your eye actually notices.
LG OLED TVs are technically distinct from LCD/QLED TVs in ways that matter for an installer who knows what they’re doing. OLEDs are significantly thinner — most 75″ OLEDs are under 2 inches deep — which means they sit closer to the wall on a low-profile mount than any LCD-based TV can. That’s a big part of the aesthetic appeal: an OLED on a flush mount nearly disappears into the wall. OLEDs are also lighter pound-for-pound than equivalent LCDs, but they still require multi-stud anchoring at 75″. The self-emissive pixel technology means picture quality at the install is genuinely better than what you got at the store — true black levels, infinite contrast — so dialing in the picture settings at install is part of the value of a professional install. And the in-wall concealment matters more on an OLED than almost any other TV: when you’ve paid for a TV designed to look as close to art as a backlit display can get, you don’t want a power cord ruining the effect.
Bat City TV is an authorized LG dealer, which means we sell, source, and install the entire LG OLED lineup — including the C-Series, G-Series, and the flagship M-Series wireless OLED — at competitive dealer pricing. We’re also authorized dealers for Samsung, Sony, and Sonos. Common pairings on a premium OLED install include in-wall power relocation, full HDMI and signal cable concealment, Sonos Beam or Arc Ultra integration tied to the TV via HDMI eARC, and custom calibration of picture settings to the room’s lighting. Our Mueller service area covers Windsor Park, Cherrywood, Hyde Park, East Austin, North Loop, Brentwood, Crestview, and all of Central and East Austin.
